The origins of Halvah is debatable- some say Persia (Iran), some say Turkey.  All say it is delicious- a sweet confection.  In this case it is ground sesame seed and cane sugar, through the sugar content isn't too high in this bar making it a great snack option.

Made from over 50% crushed sesame seeds called Tahini and just a few simple ingredients, this Halvah is mixed by hand in traditional copper bowls into a smooth layered fudge-like texture. With a sweet-savory taste, Halvah is nutrient dense, and naturally gluten free.
